WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Alex M. McLaughlin, 25, of Westfield, was charged with petit larceny. Officers were called at 12:45 a.m. Monday to 7-Eleven, 96 E. Main St. for a larceny complaint. Employees stated that a male was caught on camera putting ice cream into his backpack and leaving the store without paying. McLaughlin admitted to taking the ice cream and was issued a ticket to appear in court later.
Burglary reported in town of Dunkirk
On Dec. 4 at about 2:51 p.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies were alerted to a reported burglary at 10749 Bennett Road in the town of Dunkirk, currently a storage facility.
A door was found open at the rear of the building, and an investigation determined that several dirt bikes had been stolen.
Missing is a 2003 red and black Honda XR 100R; a 2007 red and black Honda CRF 150f; a blue Yamaha TW200; a 2020 Yamaha YZ250FX; and a 2008 red Honda R6L dirt bike. A 2020 Torque camper was entered and a 55-ich television was stolen.
Additionally, two other campers on the property were damaged.
