Harlingen Man Indicted For Murder Of Harlingen Teen – 710am KURV – Kurv

A Cameron County grand jury has indicted a Harlingen man for the murder of a Harlingen High School student.

According to the Brownsville Herald, the indictment charges 19-year-old Phillip Michael Martinez with one count of murder and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Martinez is accused of gunning down 17-year-old Christopher Angel Perales at the Sunshine Apartments the night of October 6th last year. Three others were wounded, including Perales’ brother.

Harlingen police have not disclosed a motive for the shootings. Martinez is to be arraigned on the charges January 26th.
