The Memphis Grizzlies go for 12 consecutive wins on Friday hosting the Dallas Mavericks (9 p.m., ESPN/Bally Sports Southeast). It’s also just their second nationally televised game of the season.
The Grizzlies (30-14) are just one of three teams with at least 30 wins so far this season. They sit 1 1/2 games behind the Golden State Warriors for second place in the Western Conference and are coming off a 116-108 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday.
The Grizzlies split their first two meeting with the Mavericks this season, with both road teams winning. Ja Morant also moved past Mavericks guard Luka Doncic for second place in All-Star fan voting among Western Conference guards this week.
The Mavericks won’t have Kristaps Porzingis (health and safety protocols) and Willie Cauley-Stein (personal reasons). The Grizzlies could still be without Steven Adams due to a non COVID-19 illness.
